Player information

Here you will find all the information you need to get started playing Empire.

Empire is a game played across the Internet with up to 100 other people in real time. The game is up (usually) 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Action can happen at any time.

Empire is a very addicting game. Marriges have been lost over playing empire. People have flunked out of school due to playing empire. Many, many, many a night's sleep has been lost due to empire.

Scared yet? If not, and the idea of setting your alarm clock for 3:00 am updates doesn't bother you when you have to get up and go to work at 5:30, or if sitting at your computer for days typing your fingers to nubs playing 24 hour blitzes appeals to you, then read on.

Oh, and a few 'unwritten' rules of conduct when playing empire.

  • Always report bugs you find to the deity and/or the server team.
  • Never, Never, Never is it acceptable to play more than one country during the course of a game. Don't do it. It's wrong. Just don't.
How to get started

Join the players e-mail list
There is an e-mail list that deities can send out game announcements to. If you wish to get on the list, send an e-mail to Overlord and request that you be put on the list. Somewhere in the body of your e-mail, put the text "add myname@wherever.com" in the body of the e-mail somewhere, where myname@wherever.com is the e-mail address you'd like to add to the list. If you want to be removed from the list, just put the text "remove myname@wherever.com" in the body text somewhere.
