Okay Folks.....Chainsaw IV is Going up......

The Latest In Chainsaw Code....!!!!
This is going to be a smaller game...Max 40 players....The World will be
128x96 in size, with start islands being 35-40 sectors...30-40 sea....
We have found this code to be the most entertaining....More people seem
to stick to it.
The Game will have 2 updates a day, 48 etu.

The following parameters have been set for this game:
World size is 128 by 96.
There can be up to 100 countries.
By default, countries use their own coordinate system.
An Empire time unit is 900 seconds long.
Use the 'update' command to find out the time of the next update.
The current time is Wed Jun 16 23:49:26.
An update consists of 48 empire time units.
Each country is allowed to be logged in 1000 minutes a day.
It takes 25.00 civilians to produce a BTU in one time unit.
A non-aggi, 100 fertility sector can grow 0.12 food per etu.
1000 civilians will harvest 1.3 food per etu.
1000 civilians will give birth to 5.0 babies per etu.
1000 uncompensated workers will give birth to 2.5 babies.
In one time unit, 1000 people eat 1.0 units of food.
1000 babies eat 12.0 units of food becoming adults.
Banks pay $250.00 in interest per 1000 gold bars per etu.
1000 civilians generate $4.33, uncompensated workers $1.78 each time unit.
1000 active military cost $83.33, reserves cost $8.33.
Happiness p.e. requires 1 happy stroller per 5000 civ.
Education p.e. requires 1 class of graduates per 4000 civ.
Happiness is averaged over 48 time units.
Education is averaged over 192 time units.
The technology/research boost you get from the world is 50.00%.
Nation levels (tech etc.) decline 1% every 96 time units.
Tech Buildup is limited to logarithmic growth (base 1.55) after 1.00.

Two weeks after start, July 11, 1993
Alas:
The Game has been underway for quite awhile now. And The Deaths are
starting to build up slowly. There seems to be 2 Major alliances. The Major
alliance, The Elven GreenPeace Alliance, consisting of Chess/Lothlorien/
Mantarr and a Few others (some dead now) are trying to keep ahold on there
turf, from the smaller packs of raiding Countries. Core revealed himself as
the real Country of Doom (after aquiring Narcolumbia,Emerald, and Mordor
resort islands). The Leader, Manetheren, in his relentless assaults and
nonstop warring is slowly pulling away from the Pack. tech is getting up
to the 150+ era, and planes are starting to make a major play in the game.
The ships and armies are building up all over the place.

Game experienced some controversy, as one of the players was reportedly cheating. Furthermore, Doom and Chess merged countries using the "cede" command (a command that was available at the time that allowed one country to give another country sectors, with full control to the receiving nation) and then continued to play as one country, but with the rulers of the two original countries. This broke the spirit of an unwritten rule of Empire whereby once a nation leaves a game, the ruler does not participate in the game beyond that point. This happened sometime after July 14th, 1993. The final power report below reflects the power before the game descended into chaos. Shortly after this power report, the power chart leader as of July 14th was removed from the game for swearing at the deity. beep quit in protest. Thus, the game can not be said to have had a true winner.
